Notice of Elections to the CMC Board
15th December 2011
Notice is hereby given of elections to the Board of the CMC.
Members are reminded, that following the amendments to the Constitution made at the AGM on 15th December 2010, lots were drawn to decide whether the board members elected in February 2011 would serve one, two or three years. Therefore, two places for mediation providers and two places for independent (individual) mediators are open for election in 2012. Existing members may be re-elected.
Members will now serve three year terms with annual elections as those three year terms expire.
Signed nominations of candidates should be posted to the Registrar (see below) by 1800 on Thursday 12th January 2012. Election addresses from the candidates, limited to one page only, should be emailed to the Registrar also by 12th January 2012. Ballot papers should be despatched to all members by email on Monday 16th January 2012 with a closing date for return to the Registrar by 1800 on Monday 13th February 2012.
The scrutiny of the election papers will be by an independent judge working with the Registrar to be conducted on no later than Friday 17th February 2012. The announcement of the result of the elections shall be given to all CMC members by email immediately after that meeting.
The new members will join the Board at the Board meeting on Wednesday 22nd February 2012. This date will be notified in advance to all candidates so that if elected they might attend.
