Civil Mediation Council

CPD Session with Kenneth Cloke

May 23rd 2011

The CMC is organising a CPD Session with Kenneth Cloke, Director of the Centre for Dispute Resolution, US, on Monday 23 May 2011 from 13:00 – 17:00 hours at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, 12 Bloomsbury Square, London WC1A 2LP.

Kenneth Cloke is an internationally recognised speaker and author of many books and journals. He has served as a mediator, arbitrator, attorney, coach, consultant and trainer. He specialises in resolving complex multi-party conflicts which include: community, grievance and workplace disputes, collective bargaining negotiations, organisational and school conflicts, sexual harassment and discrimination lawsuits and public policy disputes. He also provides services in designing conflict resolution systems for organisations.

With the recent emphasis placed on CPD by the CMC and the increasing focus on Mediation in the UK, this session provides a good opportunity to learn from the experiences of our US colleagues, as they are ahead of us in this field.

The session aims to:

-          learn from our colleagues in the US who are a few years ahead of us.

-          look at mediation at an advanced learning.

-          network with others from the industry.

This session is suitable for anyone trained in mediation skills or thinking of training as a mediator. The fee for attending is £99.
